Trevor Chiasson, M.A., C.Psych.Assoc.

Trevor is the Owner and Operator of Northern Ontario Psychology, where he serves as a dedicated psychologist in Sudbury, Ontario. With over nine years of clinical experience, he is registered with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario as a Clinical Psychological Associate, authorized for autonomous practice (#7264). This designation empowers him to independently assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of mental health concerns in adults.

Trevor earned his Master’s degree in Applied (Clinical) Psychology in 2017 and holds an Honours Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Laurentian University, awarded in 2014. Having been raised in Sudbury, Ontario, he considers Northern Ontario his lifelong home, further enhancing his connection to the community he serves.

His passion for psychology was ignited through meaningful conversations with peers during his youth and his personal experiences with anxiety. This connection fuels his commitment to empowering clients by offering practical tools, psychoeducation, and encouraging collaborative self-discovery.

Specializing in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Supportive Counselling, and Emotionally Focused-informed approaches, Trevor's clinical interests include men’s mental health, anxiety and related disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic, trauma-related conditions, stress management, and performance-related psychology, particularly in sports. As one of the prominent psychologists Sudbury has to offer, he is focused on delivering effective care.

Outside of his professional life, Trevor is a devoted husband and father. He enjoys spending quality time with his family, playing music, staying active, enjoying hockey (Go Habs Go), and immersing himself in gaming. His approachable style, coupled with evidence-based practices, supports clients in building resilience and achieving meaningful change through the services offered at Northern Ontario Psychology.
